School

)
, formerly as the Department of Economic Management, was founded in 1983. It is a secondary teaching unit engaged in teaching and scientific research of economic and management disciplines in Ningbo Un
iversity
(“
NBUT
”
)
. Over the past 30 years, the School has been adhering to the motto of "Integrating Knowledge with Practice" and the motto of "Governing the World through Economy", and has provided nearly 10,000 senior economic and management professionals to the society.
The School now has three first-level disciplines: management science and engineering, business management, and applied economics. It offers seven full-time undergraduate majors in logistics management, logistics engineering, accounting, International economics and trade, marketing, international business and e-commerce. The School’

on port-side logistics, dangerous chemicals logistics and electronic commerce logistics are selected into the national
Production and Education Integration Project Construction Platform
; logistics finance and cost accounting are selected into the Provincial Training Platform. The School has the first enterprise Research Institute of NBUT -
Ningbo Academy of Fine Arts and Technology
, and the
Modern Logistics Engineering Center
, which has been listed in the six industrial centers construction of Ningbo Municipal Education bureau. In 2017, the School opened the ACCA international CPA professional training class. In the same year, the School launched the international certification of ACBSP for international business education.
At present, the School has 99 faculty members, including 86 full-time teachers, 12 professors, 34 associate professors, 45 doctors, 21 masters and 3 doctoral supervisors. In 2018, there were 2408 full-time undergraduate students and 76 full-time
foreign
students registered in the School.

s research team is led by
12 professors and 40 faculties with doctor degree, with an average annual research funding of 5.53 million Yuan. The
research focuses on
the following three
areas of
management science and engineering, business management, and applied economics. The
research team sets up extensive
cooperation with other universities and local enterprises to meet local economic and industrial development needs.
The School adheres to the training mode of incorporating in-class knowledge into practice, and takes the object of training excellent professionals for local economic development. The 7 undergraduate majors have been gradually acknowledged within and outside of Zhejiang. The School has also set up extensive cooperative relationships with other universities worldwide. and other partners to train graduate students, and

in the United Kingdom to jointly run the Chinese-British "2+2" undergraduate course, and

in France for exchange students program.
The School has formulated a medium and long-term development plan, and now is exploring the "integration of science and education" talent training model for the development of future. The development goal
is
to make the School as Ningbo’
s
first-class university and make contributions to Zhejiang province and China.
