I.Basic Information
The School of Electronics and Information Engineering traces its origins to the Applied Electronics Department of Ningbo College (Ningbo's first comprehensive institution of higher education), established in 1984. The school began its undergraduate enrollment in 2005. It currently offers four undergraduate programs: Electronic Information Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering and Automation, and Industrial Intelligence, with a full-time undergraduate student population of over 1,800. The school has 73 faculty and staff members, including 55 full-time teachers. Among them, there are 9 professors (research fellows), 27 associate professors (associate research fellows), 43 hold doctoral degrees, 10 are graduate supervisors, and over 10 have overseas study experience. The faculty includes 4 individuals selected for the Zhejiang New Century "151" Talent Project, 2 Young Academic Leaders in Zhejiang Provincial Universities, 1 Ningbo Outstanding Contribution Expert, and 6 individuals selected for the Ningbo Leading and Top Talent Project and various provincial-level talent programs.
II.Teaching
In 2010, the Electronic Information Engineering program was approved as one of the first pilot majors under the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program". In 2012, the Electronic Science and Technology program was approved as a Key Construction Major in Zhejiang Province. In 2014, the Electronic Information Engineering program was recognized as an Emerging Characteristic Major in Zhejiang Province. In 2019, it was approved as a First-Class Undergraduate Major in Zhejiang Province. The School of Electronics and Information Engineering is committed to building a highland for cultivating application-oriented talents that resonates with local industrial development. Leveraging three major disciplinary clusters in electronics, information, and electrical engineering, the School distinguishes itself by being “locally grounded, industry-oriented, and balanced in theoretical and practical learning,” while strengthening engineering practice and innovation capabilities. With remarkable achievements in disciplinary competitions and student scientific innovation activities, the School has effectively enhanced students' core competitiveness and supplied a large number of application-oriented engineering talents for regional economic development.

III.Research
Leveraging the "Electronic Science and Technology" discipline, recognized as a First-Class Discipline in Zhejiang Province during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and based on the development needs of Ningbo's "361" cluster of trillion-yuan industries, the school focuses on areas such as optoelectronics and intelligent sensing, power electronics and intelligent equipment. It deeply integrates with local industrial upgrading and the construction of innovation chains. Over the past five years, the school has undertaken 9 national-level research projects, 26 provincial/ministerial-level projects including those from the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, 1 sub-project of the MIIT's "Made in China 2025" major project, and several Ningbo Key R&D Plan and "Unveiling the List and Appointing Commanders" projects. It has obtained over 50 intellectual property rights, transferred 5 research outcomes, and received awards including 1 Third Prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award and 3 awards from industry associations such as the Second Prize from the China Invention Association.
IV. Students Development
The school consistently aims to cultivate high-level applied undergraduate talents with applied research capabilities and practical skills. It has supplied approximately 4,000 undergraduate graduates to society, with an employment rate maintained above 97%. In the past three years, over 240 students have been admitted to postgraduate programs for further studies, realizing their personal dreams at renowned domestic and international universities such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Southeast University, Dalian University of Technology, East China Normal University, The University of Sydney, The University of Queensland, and The University of New South Wales. In recent years, students from the school have accumulated more than 400 awards in provincial/ministerial-level and above competitions, undertaken over 200 innovation projects at various levels, and published more than 100 scientific papers. Students have continuously achieved breakthroughs and won national awards in competitions such as the China College Students Intelligent Robotics Contest, National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest, Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, and National Robot Championship. Graduates have emerged as outstanding individuals, including the champion of Ningbo's Top Ten Entrepreneurial New Stars, contributing their expertise and energy to crucial fields and pillar industries like energy and power, intelligent manufacturing, integrated circuits, and optoelectronic information.
