I.Basic Information
Founded in 2022, the School of New Energy at Ningbo University of Technology is a key part of China’s National Education Strengthening Project. Located in Ningbo Qianwan New Area, the School serves as the New Energy Industry Technology Innovation and Practice Base, covering 25,000 square meters with a total investment of 220 million RMB.

The School is committed to developing future-oriented talent in science, technology, and engineering. With a strong focus on industry collaboration and interdisciplinary innovation, it aims to advance cutting-edge research while supporting both national and regional economic growth. Our team includes 60 faculty members, among them 6 professors and 13 associate professors, with 50 holding PhDs. The School currently enrolls 545 undergraduate and over 20 postgraduate students.
II.Teaching
To drive research and teaching excellence, we have established five advanced platforms:
• Advanced Energy Storage Materials & Battery Laboratory
• Solar Photovoltaic Materials & Devices Laboratory
• Hydrogen Energy & Fuel Cell Laboratory
• Integrated Photovoltaic–Storage Energy Demonstration Platform
• New Energy Experimental Teaching Center
These facilities span 10,000 square meters and are equipped with assets worth more than RMB 60 million.

III. Research
In just three years, the School has led 47 research projects, including National Key R&D Programs and NSFC grants, attracting over 10 million RMB in funding. Our faculty have published nearly 200 SCI-indexed papers in prestigious journals such as Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Materials, and Energy & Environmental Science.

IV. Student Development
Through an integrated industry–academia–research model, students gain hands-on experience and develop strong innovation and problem-solving skills. Our undergraduates have already achieved around 20 SCI publications and won over 10 national and provincial awards.

V.International Exchange
The school also embraces internationalization, recruiting global faculty and fostering cross-cultural exchange. Students are encouraged to explore the world of clean energy with a global perspective, preparing to become innovative engineers and leaders in the new energy era.
