Recently, the Ningbo Science and Technology Bureau released the 2026 list of Class A Key Laboratories of Ningbo. The Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Information Perception Technology of Ningbo, led by Ningbo University of Technology’s School of Electronic and Information Engineering and jointly applied for with Ningbo Weiyuan Optoelectronic Research Institute — has been successfully approved. In the meantime, our university has obtained accreditation for 4 Class B Key Laboratories of Ningbo in fields including green chemical industry, smart energy, new energy vehicle safety, and green&low-carbon building materials.

Targeting the major demands in sectors such as new-generation electronic information, intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation and life health, the Ningbo Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Information Perception Technology focuses on core scientific and technological challenges in optoelectronic information acquisition, multi-spectral fusion perception and intelligent interpretation. It is committed to breaking through bottlenecks including insufficient capabilities of high-sensitivity, high-resolution and high-robustness optoelectronic perception in complex scenarios.
Guided by its core mission of building an independent, controllable, integrated, collaborative, intelligent and efficient optoelectronic information perception technology system, the laboratory will prioritize research directions covering coherent and computational optical imaging, laser perception and 3D information acquisition, as well as multimodal and multi-spectral fused perception.
