On June 3, a delegation led by Jean LE GUEN, President of ESIGELEC, and Cyril MARTEAUX, Vice President of the school, visited Ningbo University of Technology (NBUT). The guests were accompanied by officials from Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Education. Shao Qianjun, President of NBUT, together with Vice Presidents Zhang Shuichao and Chen Xiaoping, received the delegation warmly. The two sides exchanged views on talent training, joint academic programs, faculty exchange and language teaching, and reached consensus on future cooperation.
NBUT and ESIGELEC have maintained friendly ties since signing a cooperation agreement in 2010. With academic disciplines closely aligned with local industrial demands, NBUT boasts great cooperation potential with ESIGELEC in new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence and robotics. Both parties intend to advance substantial cooperation including undergraduate and postgraduate joint training, faculty exchange and joint curriculum development.
Founded in 1901, ESIGELEC is a prestigious French engineering school. It enjoys outstanding strengths in digital technology, energy and embedded systems. The two institutions share similar educational philosophies, with promising cooperation prospects in automotive electronics, new energy and robotics.
Prior to the talks, the delegation toured the School of Robotics, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, relevant laboratories and a local automotive technology company. They learned about NBUT’s achievements in teaching, research and industry-education integration in intelligent manufacturing and new energy vehicles, and held discussions with faculty members.
Representatives from relevant municipal authorities and multiple schools and departments of NBUT attended the meeting.
